London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2013 Preview – Part 1

London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2013 begins tomorrow (Feb 15) at London’s Somerset House and continues until Tue Feb 19 – and as usual, we’re very excited!

After an amazing New York Fashion Week AW2013, the fashion odyssey continues here in the UK, with London being the very first stop on the European leg of the international fashion circuit’s ‘big four’. Then, after London, the next stops are Milan and Paris.

Organised by the British Fashion Council, London Fashion Week plays host to over 70 catwalk shows for Britain’s established iconic designers – for example:

Amanda Wakeley

Issa London

London Fashion Week continues to place wonderful British designers and the city of London itself at the vanguard of the fashion world, and is a magnet to the world’s key opinion formers and trend setters.

More than 6,000 industry professionals flock to this prestigious event, ranging from UK and International buyers, international press, photographers and broadcast crews.

Now here’s an amazing fact – London Fashion Week generates press coverage somewhere in the region of £70 million in the UK, while  the rest of the world’s press enjoys revenue of around £100 million. Wowza!
